Fresh Floral Tips

Keeping fresh florals looking ✨vibrant✨ throughout your wedding day is crucial for creating a stunning atmosphere.

Here are our top 8 hacks to help you achieve just that:
   1. Hydration is Key: Ensure that your flowers stay hydrated by placing them in water as soon as possible after receiving them. Keep them in a cool, dark place until they're ready to be used.
  2.  Proper Storage: If you're not using the flowers immediately, store them in a cool room or refrigerator, away from fruits and vegetables, which emit ethylene gas that can cause flowers to deteriorate faster.
 3.   Misting: Lightly misting your flowers with water can help keep them hydrated and looking fresh. However, avoid misting directly on delicate blooms like orchids.
 4.   Preparation: Remove any foliage or leaves that will be below the waterline in your vases. This prevents bacteria from forming and keeps the water cleaner for longer.
 5.   Timing is Everything: Arrange to have your flowers delivered as close to the wedding ceremony or reception as possible to minimize wilting.
  6.  Keep Them Cool: If your venue is warm, consider placing your floral arrangements in a cool room or using portable coolers to keep them fresh until they're needed.
   7. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Direct sunlight can cause flowers to wilt quickly. Keep your arrangements away from windows or outdoor areas where they'll be exposed to sunlight for extended periods.
 8.   Emergency Kit: Have an emergency kit on hand with floral tape, extra blooms, and flower food in case any last-minute adjustments are needed.

If you are planning to hire a professional, a good florist should handle these things for you, but if you will be doing them yourself, these tips will come in clutch!

Cheers, and happy planning!
